What is TopTen USA?
TopTen USA is an independent, nonprofit organization whose sole task is to identify the most energy-efficient products in a wide range of product categories. Why? Our data shows that the 10 most efficient products in many categories are up to three times as efficient as those that barely clear common efficiency standards. By offering TopTen lists, we can help consumers make energy-efficient purchases a priority, saving money and lowering our national energy demands. TopTen is part of an international consumer movement toward energy efficiency—there are TopTen organizations throughout Europe and, along with TopTen USA, new TopTens are being launched in Hong Kong and China.
